Macau & Hong Kong 2008

Finally, got my Macau & Hong Kong photos loaded into Picasa. Went in Oct and only now did I get things done. You can tell that I wasn't that eager to share, you can tell from the shots.

Frankly, this is my 3rd time to Macau and 4th to Hong Kong. The draw this time was Venetian Hotel in Macau. What did I enjoy most? Sky Walk - its the only new thing I get to do from this trip.

From past experience, I only get to see my cousin liken my departure day. See how 'hotel like' my aunt's place is like....

Day Out @ Gallop Stable

Brought the kids to Gallop Stable & Pasir Ris Park to sweat it all out. Its quite fun to see the children enjoying the 2 mins ride and messing around the park.

My Baked Salmon Lunch

Just finished my lunch, at home. Yes, I try to cook as much as I can 'cos I ain't the person who really fancy food outside, with the exception of japanese food.

This is one of my fav... baked salmon. How is it done? Salmon, onion, spring onion, tomatoes, salt, pepper, cheese and there you go ...

Singapore National Day Parade 2008

Its fun hanging out @ One Fullerton watching the NDP. You get to soak in another kind of fun where watching from the audience seat would not be fun. Even when a kingfisher flying by will cause quite a stir. Don't believe me? Try it yourself next year. Meantime, enjoy what I took from One Fullerton

Some Tour Comments

I've been to both guided tours and free & easy packages. The differences are obvious. I must say that I prefer F&E but considering places where language is a barrier, guidede tour is the best solution. But then, one's satisfaction clings closely to the service of the tour guide.

Nevermind the loud aunties and their children. An experience guide will be able to educate them. In my last 2 trips to Japan, I've experienced 2 extreme guides. One just does his job - do some explanatory at each location; missed a location and was silence about it, disappeared to hot spring after dishing out the room keys. The other - engaged us non-stop, to the point that her voice still rings in our ears after 1 month, sending shivers down the spine at times.

Most of all, I missed my best guide ever, Ronnie. He took us on our trip to Rockies, Canada. Hardworking, engaging, helping, very personal, etc..... Its like, not too hot, not too cold. The best part that I'd always remember - we were on the coach heading to the Glacier, from Canmore. God's blessing, Canmore snowed (in the month of May). That's the first time most of us encountered snow. I was filming with my video cam as the coach moved the snow. In the background, Ronnie said something to the effect, "If you have not seen snow, this is like Christmas..." That's simply lovely. Gotta get those photos uploaded one day for you to see. Hard work ahead.

I'm back. Went Japan - Hokkaido, Akita, Yokahama & Narita. This time, my guides are Cynthia Cheong & Ah Pen-san (both from Chan Brothers) & Mary Bukoh. Yes, Mary is from YES93.3FM. Enjoy the many many photos.
